The third match of the lanka premier league was played between Colombo Strikers vs Kandy Falcons at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Thisara Perera was the captain of Colombo Striker and similarly, Wanindu Hasaranga was the leader of Kandy Falcons. This was the third match of this LPL season.
In this match, Colombo Strikers batted first and they set a challenging target of 199 for the Kandy Falcons. In response when Kandy Falcons came to chase, they got a good start with the help of Andre Fletcher. In the last phase of Inning, Kandy Falcons Needed 53 runs from 33 balls It looks very easy for Kandy Falcons to chase this target because the skipper of Kandy Falcon played brilliantly at that time.
Then Shahdab Khan took the bowl and he did magic in Pallekele International Cricket Stadium by taking Hat-trik( 3 consecutive wickets) in these wickets there is the main wicket of Hasaranga. The other two players were Salman Ali Agha and Pawan Rathnayake with this Hat-trick Colombo Strikers easily won by a fine margin of 51 runs due to these extraordinary performances Shahdab Khan was named the player of the match.
Shahdab Khan is a Pakistani all-rounder. He did not perform well in International Cricket in the last four months.
He was part of the Pakistan cricket team in this T20 world but he could not perform well with both ball and bat in this T20 World Cup he did not a single wicket and was totally dominated by different teams
But despite his bad performances in international, he played quite well in different leagues. He performed excellently in PSL(Pakistan Super League) he took 14 wickets and scored 305 runs in PSL 2024 and he led Islamabad United under his leadership Islamabad United won the title of champions in this PSL. This shows how Shahdab performs well in batting, bowling, fielding, and also captaincy in leagues which is the reason why he is picked in almost every league.
